Vietnamese Sandwich

This healthy sandwich is also called Banh Mi sandwich. Taken alone, bánh mì means “bread”, but also understood to be the Vietnamese baguette. It tastes like a rich ham sandwich with a hit of Asian freshness. The taste is mesmerizing that you can’t stop taking a bite and it is a nice break from common sandwiches!

Ingredients:

  • 1lb pork tenderloin cubed
  • 4 (7 inches) baguette bread
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 cucumber
  • 1 carrot
  • 4 or 5 red jalapeno
  • 1 tsp cilantro
  • 1 daikon radish
  • rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp olive oil

FOR THE MARINADE:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 70 ml sriracha sauce
  • 2 lime (juice)
  • 2 tbsp white sugar

Procedure:

  1. Preheat the Avacraft Everyday Pan into medium heat and add some olive oil. Once the large skillet is preheated, add the pork then season it with salt and pepper and cook it until brown. Once done, transfer the cooked pork and let it cool. Set aside.
  2. Open the baguette bread and spread mayonnaise on the insides. Place one of the cooked pork chops into each roll. Spread sriracha sauce directly on the meat. Sprinkle it with a little lime juice and top with slices of onion, cucumber, cilantro, carrot, radish, salt, and pepper. Finish with another quick drizzle of lime juice and some rice vinegar.
