Stainless Steel Saucepan Sizes & What to Cook in Each of Them

Saucepans are one of the most versatile pieces of cookware you will want to have in your kitchen. You can make sauces, simmer soups, boil pasta and rice, deep fry foods, and a myriad other cooking techniques.

For a piece of cookware that is so critical to your culinary activities, it is imperative that you invest in the best! At Avacraft, our stainless steel saucepans go through rigorous testing in our own home kitchen in Texas to ensure optimal performance in our customers’ kitchens. We offer three saucepan sizes (1.5 quart, 2.5 quart, and 3.5 quart) to meet the needs of our customers, and each one comes with a lifetime warranty because we believe in standing with you forever!

How To Choose a Saucepan Size

Deciding which stainless steel saucepan to choose can be a tough decision, so Avacraft is here to help. The type and amount of food you are preparing will help you figure out which of our saucepan sizes is right for you.

All of our saucepan sizes are made from 18/10 food grade stainless steel and have a special matte finish inside to prevent scratches over time and a mirror finish on the outside for a shiny and stylish look. You will also find easy-to-read measurement marks on the inside of each saucepan.

1.5 Quart Saucepan

When you have a small amount of an ingredient or want to warm up a single-size serving of something like oatmeal, the 1.5 quart stainless steel saucepan can be your go-to. All of our saucepans, including the 1.5 quart, have a shatterproof glass cover with straining holes and pour spouts on both sides.

2.5 Quart Saucepan

The 2.5 quart stainless steel saucepan may be the most used in your kitchen because it is the perfect size for a variety of cooking needs. You can cook soups, reduce sauces, boil small batches of pasta or rice, deep fry food, cook oatmeal for the family breakfast, hard boiling eggs, and so much more. As with all of our saucepan sizes, the 2.5 quart is highly durable, resistant to rust, stain, corrosion, or cracking, and is dishwasher and refrigerator safe.

3.5 Quart Saucepan

For the larger size saucepans like the 3.5 quart, you have the ability to cook more food, use more ingredients, and make larger portions. Our 3.5 quart stainless steel saucepan is great for cooking rice, polenta, or potatoes, steaming vegetables, and making larger amounts of sauces. All of our saucepans avoid heat spots and distributes heat evenly because of the specially-constructed base with Aluminum encapsulation.

Cooking in Stainless Steel Saucepans

When you’ve finished cooking your meal and it’s time to do the dishes, it is important to let any burnt food or stuck-on food soak before trying to clean it from your stainless steel saucepan. Steel wool and other harsh scrubbers can scratch or damage the surface of the pan, so it is best to avoid those in the cleaning process. Non-abrasive scrubbers and a bit of dish soap is your first go-to along with some boiling water for those more stubborn stains.
